Pairing the Thermostat and Control Module
1. Onthethermostat,pressandholddowntheHOLD and
RETURNbuttonsfor3seconds.
2.ThewordCMOD(controlmodule)willappearinthe
displayandthesymbolwillash(seeFigure1).
3.Onthepoweredcontrolmodule,pressandholdthe
CONNECTbuttonfor3seconds(seeFigure2).
4. Thecontrolmodulewillenterpairingmodefor60
seconds.DuringthistimetheblueCOMM indicator on
thecontrolmodulewillashonceevery2seconds.
5.Oncesuccessfullypaired,thesymbolwillstop
ashingandtheblueCOMM indicator on the control
modulewillturnon.
6.PressRETURNonthethermostatatanytimetoexit.
NOTE: In step 2, if the control module has already been
paired, the symbol will not be flashing.
Replacing a Thermostat
Ifyouarereplacingathermostatthatispairedwithanexisting
controlmodule,youwillneedtoclearthecontrolmoduleand
pairitagainwiththenewlyinstalledthermostat.
1.Installthenewthermostat.
2.Onthecontrolmodule,pressandholdtheCONNECTbutton
for10secondsuntiltheredCOMM indicator turns on.
3.ReleasetheCONNECTbuttonandtheblueandredLEDwill
eachashoncetoindicatethecontrolmodulewas
successfullycleared.
4.Pairthenewthermostatwiththecontrolmodule.
Replacing a Control Module
Ifyouarereplacingacontrolmodulethatispairedwithanexistingthermostat,youwillneedtoclearthe
thermostat’scontrolmodulesettingsbeforepairingthenewwirelesscontrolmodule.
1.Installthenewcontrolmodule.
2.ThermostatcontrolmodulesettingsareclearedbyadjustingInstallerSetting#29to CLR2.Thissettingclears
theconnectionbetweenthethermostatandcontrolmodule(see section 4).
NOTE: Be careful not to select CLR3 unless you want to clear all the thermostat settings.
3.Pairyournewcontrolmodulewiththethermostat.See“PairingtheThermostatwithControlModule”.
Communication Loss
Ifcommunicationbetweenthethermostatandcontrolmoduleislost,theredCOMM indicator on the control
modulewillbegintoashonceevery10seconds.Thecontrolmodulewillattempttoreconnecttothethermostat
severaltimesautomatically.
NOTE: To attempt to reconnect manually, press and hold the CONNECT button for 3 seconds.
ThethermostatdisplaywillalsoindicatethatcommunicationhasbeenlostbyashingCOMM LOSS CMOD.
Duringcommunicationlossthereturnairsensorisusedtomaintainthefactorydefaultheatingandcooling
temperatures.
