5.2 Adjusting the Printhead
For optimum print quality, the line of heating elements on the printhead must be parallel and adjusted correctly to
the print roller. This adjustment has already been performed in the factory.
Nevertheless, it may become necessary to adjust it.
A misaligned printhead causes a poor quality which appears as described below:
the print image looks generally light, spotted, and irregular or
the print image appears uneven from one side to the other.
When these errors occur it is recommended to adjust the printhead.
WARNING!
Mortal danger by electric shock!
Disconnect power supply!
Switch off compressed air!

Adjusting the printhead horizontally parallel to the print roller
Leave the material inside the printer.
Release the printhead mounting screw (2).
Adjust the printhead by turning the both screws (5).
Perform a test print.
Horizontal lines must be parallel to the label edge
Go on adjusting if necessary.
Tighten the printhead mounting screw (2) if the adjustment is nished.
Adjusting the printhead vertically parallel to the print roller
Leave the material inside the printer.
Loosen the screw (1).
Loosen the nut (3).
Adjust the printhead by turning the screw (4).
Perform a test print, for instance a wide black line over the whole width of the label.
Go on adjusting if necessary.
Tighten the nut (3) and the screw (1) if the adjustment is nished.
