Upgrading the Firmware

4. Scroll down to SOFTWARE/FIRMWARE UPDATES and click the link for BMP61 and M611

Database Update (Rev Y-#, B-#).

5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click BEGIN DOWNLOAD.

6. Save the files to any directory on the computer, extract the files from the .zip and save them to

the root of the USB drive.

7. Insert the USB drive into the USB port of the BMP

61 printer.

The printer detects the USB drive and displays the versions of the files on it.

8. Make sure the check box for each file that you want to upgrade is selected. (Tap a check box

to select or clear it.)

9. Tap Upgrade on the display or

press Enter on the keypad.

10. Follow the prompts on the printer screen to complete the upgrade. If you have more BMP

printers to update, tap Ignore when given the opportunity to delete files from external media.

This retains the files on the USB flash drive so that you can use them on another printer.

11. Cycle power on the printer.
