Serialization
In a multi-sequence serialization, where the second set of values is NOT dependent on the first set
(that is, Linked box NOT checked), the two sequences increment sequentially, independent of each
other.
Example: Multiple serializations (where the second set of values is NOT dependent on the first set of
values)
In a multi-sequence “linked” serialization (i.e., Linked box checked), the second set of values is
dependent on the first set. The second sequence holds its initial value until the first sequence
completes, after which it moves to the next value.
Example: Multiple linked serialization
Add Serialization
To add serialization to labels:
1. Position the cursor on the label where you want the serialization to display.
2. Press Serial.
A dialog box displays where you can enter the start value of the serialization, the end value,
and the increment value.
