Loading Supplies

Label Supply

Brady labels come equipped with smart-cell technology that enables the printer to recognize the type

of label and automatically set label formatting details.

For optimum performance, it is recommended that you use genuine Brady BMP

61 labels. Labels can

be loaded with the power on or off.

Note: TLS2200 label supply is forward compatible to BMP

61 and cross-compatible to BMP71

printers. TLS2200 label supply continues to work in TLS2200 and PC-Link.

Before inserting labels, be sure to remove the protective tape covering the leading end of the labels.

1. To open the printer cover, place your thumb under

the tab and push up.

2. With labels coming over the top of the spool, grasp

the smart cell handle and insert the labels straight

into the smart cell reader compartment, gently

pushing until it clicks into place.

3. If using anything but a 2-inch width label supply,

slide the media guide to the left until it fits snugly up

against the label roll and clicks into place.

4. Feed the leading edge of the label roll through the

guide slots until it stops.

Note: Make sure the print head is engaged by flipping the

print head lock lever forward (to the left) before inserting

labels into guides.

5. With the power on, press the Feed button once to feed label supply under the print head.

6. Close the cover by pushing down on it until it snaps into place.
