Office & Admin
Maintaining our Space
While we have a cleaning service, it’s our shared responsibility to keep the office and
warehouse tidy and organized. In the spirit of our team-oriented culture, we all participate in
the basic maintenance and cleanliness of the office.
Lunchroom/kitchen
Although we have a weekly rotating schedule (posted in the
lunchroom/kitchen) during which time one employee is
responsible for unloading the dishwasher and general
cleanliness, all employees are responsible for wiping and
cleaning countertops and the microwave, fridge, returning
dishes to the lunchroom, washing the dishes you use, and
removing food/plastic containers in a timely manner.
Please keep track of the food you put in the fridge and
dispose of uneaten food/containers properly in either the
garbage or recyclable bins. Any “science experiments” not
claimed within a reasonable amount of time will be thrown out,
container and all.
Eating at desks
In order that you have the opportunity to step away from your desks to eat, we’ve made a point
to have comfortable and fully equipped lunchroom and kitchens. For that reason, and
cleanliness overall, we ask that you not eat meals at your desks. Appreciating that many of us
need to snack throughout the day to stay energized, snacks are okay at your desks.
Meeting rooms and collective areas
We’re all responsible for cleaning up the boardroom and other collective areas after we use
them. This means wiping down the table if necessary and removing all work materials, dishes,
garbage/recycling, etc. Even if you’re not the one who made the mess, if you come across an
area that needs to be cleaned (e.g. dirty boardroom table, spill in the microwave), please do
your part and simply clean it up.
