Our Philosophy on $$
At Bradley Smoker, we have a skills-based compensation system. That is, you are compensated
based on the skills you bring to your position and not necessarily the actual job you may be
doing at any given time. We expect you to be flexible to assume different roles or carry out
different tasks in response to the dynamic nature of our business. In doing so, we also work
towards paying fair and consistent salaries/wages in each of our local markets, by conducting
salary/wage research on a regular basis.
Although we conduct salary reviews annually, this should not be viewed as a guaranteed
increase in your pay level. Conditions such as performance and your current pay in relation to
the market will play a big role in determining your level of compensation. As a way of ensuring
our pay is sustainable with the cost of living in each of our locations, we provide a cost of living
adjustment (COLA) increase on an annual basis.
Although we try to provide bonuses annually at
the end of the year for employees who’ve been
with the company for at least three months, this
should not be viewed as a guaranteed bonus.
In all cases, the company’s ability to pay and
overall budget have to be considered first
before making any pay increase and bonus
decisions; in addition, the level of our success
and individual performance will determine
amounts.
So long as we’re in a
position to do so, we also
reward you with an end-of-
year bonus as a way of
saying thanks for
contributing towards a good
year!
Good Work Ethic
Like all of our values, having a good work ethic is something we take
seriously at Bradley Smoker for all of us, at all levels, in all positions.
What this means is that we expect you to be: reliable (do what you say
you’re going to do), dedicated to your job, productive (have fun but
don’t slack off), cooperative (teamwork!) and responsible.
