 Removing jewelry and other loose
fitting objects that could become
caught in machinery or equipment

 Refusing to do work that would create a danger to the safety/health of yourself or
others
Safety vests are available to anyone wishing you to wear one in the warehouse and we
encourage all employees and guests to do so.
Machinery safety and information
 All safeties are to be properly engaged on all machinery at all times. Under no
circumstances is an employee authorized to bypass the built-in safety switches or
mechanical safeties.
 When cleaning or conducting repair work on any machinery, be sure to lock it out. In
addition, safety curtains must be closed and secured whenever the machinery is in
operation.
 If you notice a hydraulic fluid leak, you must inform your supervisor or manager
immediately.
 Note that when vacuuming sawdust off machinery, it may produce a static charge that can
detrimentally affect the electronics in the controller.
 To ensure the safety of all employees, only qualified RF Technicians are allowed to change
settings to the RF Power settings on the RF Press Machines. When the RF-25 Press is not in
use, RF power and all systems will be turned off; however the main power switch will be left
on.
Injury or illness employee claim procedures (WorkSafe BC Claims)
During your employment, you are covered under the Workers’ Compensation Act for Injuries
and illness that occur as a result of your job.
If an injury or illness occurs, observe the following procedures.
 Report your injury or illness immediately to the First Aid Attendant and your manager
regardless of the severity
 If you are a witness to an injury or illness and are not a designated First Aid Attendant,
please help locate a First Aid Attendant
 If the injury or illness is life threatening, call 911 and the First Aid Attendant will administer
first aid immediately to stabilize the condition
 If necessary, the manager will arrange transportation to the hospital emergency room
If something looks unsafe,
it probably is. If you’re in
