If you do intend to work from home, you must:
be logged in to the Bradley network via VPN (Virtual Private Network)
be logged in to SoftrosLAN messenger (our instant messaging software) and email
have provided your co-workers with a phone at which you may be reached
work your normal expected hours
have the necessary tools and resources at home to do the work required
ensure your computer has sufficient virus and security protocol in place
If you unexpectedly have to work from home due to extreme weather conditions or traffic
issues, it’s important that you check in with us throughout the day. Your manager will
determine whether or not your ‘work-at-home’ time has been productive or if you will need to
make up the time in the office, during the week. Refer to the Office & Admin section for details
on how to stay connected remotely.
Pay Information
Your pay is distributed semi-monthly in 24 pay periods per year on the 15th and the last day
of the month. Although we encourage direct deposit, you have the option of manual cheque.
Depending on which option you choose, your pay will either be directly deposited into your
account or the cheque will be given to you by end of day on payday. If a payday falls on a
weekend or statutory holiday, your pay will be distributed on the preceding workday.
Each pay period you will receive a pay slip that documents the relevant taxes and deductions;
for example: Employment Insurance (EI) for Canadian employees, Social Security for American
employees and Bradley Smoker group benefits.
Changes to Your Personal Info? Keep us in the Loop
For the purpose of ensuring our employee records are up to date and for payroll/benefits
administration (i.e. issuing T4s and W-2s), it is important that we have accurate and current
personal information. This may include: your name, address and phone number; name of a
person to contact in case of an emergency; and, once you are eligible for benefits, your marital
status and birth of a child. Please submit all information changes to Accounting as soon as
possible.
Parking
There is plenty of free parking in the front of the building in all locations.
If you ride your bike to work, you can store it either at the side of the building, or in the
warehouse as long as it’s out of the way and not obstructing emergency exits.
Office Access & Keys
Employees who need them for opening and/or closing will be provided with keys and alarm
codes. If this is required for your position, your manager will provide you with these and ensure
you are familiar with associated procedures.
