Riverside, California – March 30, 2020 – Effective April 13, 2020, Bourns is changing the epoxy coating for the Model
5300 and 8230 series Conformal Coated RF Chokes due to material obsolescence from a supplier. As a result, an
equivalent, but not identical, material from another supplier has been qualified and selected for production. A copy of
the qualification test report and samples of the product made with the chosen alternative epoxy coating are available
upon request for customers to confirm continued fi
t of Bourns® Conformal Coated RF Chokes for customers’ particular
applications. A list of affected part numbers is available on the following page.

The form of the RF chokes will change due to the different color pigment of epoxy coating. The fit, function, reliability
and quality of the RF chokes will not change.
