INTRODUCTION BOSTITCH tools are precision-built tools, designed for precise, high volume fastening. These tools will deliver efficient, dependable service when used correctly and with care. As with any fine power tool, for best performance the manufacturer’s instructions must be followed. Please study this manual before operating the tool and understand the safety warnings and cautions. The instructions on installation, operation and maintenance should be read carefully, and the manual kept for reference.
Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other construction activities contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some examples of these chemicals are: • lead from lead-based paints • crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry products • arsenic and chromium from chemically-treated lumber Your risk from these exposures varies, depending on how often you do this type of work.
AIR CONSUMPTION: Model BTFP71875 requires 0.41 cubic feet per min (c.f.m.) of free air to operate at the rate of 100 fasteners per minute, at 100 PSI (6.9 bars). Take the actual rate at which the tool will be run to determine the amount of air required. For instance, if your fastener usage averages 50 fasteners per minute, you need 50% of the tool's c.f.m. of free air which is required for running at 100 fasteners per minute.
TOOL OPERATION EYE PROTECTION which conforms to ANSI specifications and provides protection against flying particles both from the FRONT and SIDE should ALWAYS be worn by the operator and others in the work area when connecting to air supply, loading, operating or servicing this tool. Eye protection is required to guard against flying fasteners and debris, which could cause severe eye injury. The employer and/or user must ensure that proper eye protection is worn.
Place the nose of the tool against a work piece for all of the following operation checks. A. With hand on rear end of the handle, further back away from the secondary trigger, and not squeezing the secondary trigger, use finger to pull the primary trigger. THE TOOL MUST NOT CYCLE. B. With hand on handle, and squeezing the secondary trigger, use finger to pull the primary trigger. THE TOOL MUST CYCLE.

En algunos ambientes se necesitará protección adicional de seguridad. Por ejemplo, el área de trabajo puede exponer a un nivel de ruido que lesione el oído. El empleador y el usuario deben comprobar que se cuente con la protección necesaria del oído y que el operador y los demás presentes en el área la usen. Algunos ambientes exigirán el uso de casco protector. Cuando sea necesario, el empleado y el usuario deben verificar que se proteja la cabeza en conformidad con la norma ANSI CAN/CSA Z89.1.
CONEXIÓN DE AIRE DE LA HERRAMIENTA: Esta herramienta usa un enchufe macho de 1/4" N.P.T. El diámetro interior debe ser de 5mm (0,2") o mayor. La conexión debe ser capaz de descargar la presión de aire de la herramienta cuando es desconectada del suministro de aire. PRESIÓN DE OPERACIÓN: 80 to 100 PSI (5.5 to 6.9 bars). Seleccione la presión de operación dentro de este rango para el mejor rendimiento. NO EXCEDA LA PRESIÓN OPERATIVA RECOMENDADA.
CARGA: 1. Extraiga la línea de aire de la herramienta, Fig.1. 2. Sostenga la engrapadora de arriba a abajo como se ilustra y suelte el pestillo de carga, Fig.2 3. Coloque una vara de grapas en el canal inferior para que las patas apunten hacia arriba. Empuje y deslice para cerrar, asegurándose de que encaje el pestillo. Fig. 3. 4. Para las puntillas, coloque solo el lado izquierdo (la dirección que se muestra en el revestimiento del alimentador).

CHARGEMENT : 1. Retirez la conduite d'air de l'outil, figure 1. 2. Tenez l'outil à l'envers tel qu'illustré et retirez la trappe de chargement, figure 2. 3. Placez une rangée d'attaches dans le canal du bas de manière à ce que les extrémités pointent vers le haut. Fermez le verrou et assurez-vous qu'il est enclenché, figure 3. 4. Pour les clous de finition, placez-les du côté gauche (tel qu'indiqué sur le chargeur). Vérifiez que les têtes de clous pointent vers le bas.
FONCTIONNEMENT DE LA GÂCHETTE AVEC LA GÂCHETTE SECONDAIRE : L'outil se mettra en marche chaque fois que la gâchette secondaire sera tirée. Cet outil à gâchette est actionné en appuyant sur ou en saisissant d'abord la gâchette secondaire sous la poignée de main, puis en appuyant sur la gâchette sous la soupape, tel qu’indiqué Fig.5.
