Main Features OD–1 55 This produces a soft and clear distortion as when a vacuum tube amp is overdriven. 55 Regardless of the guitar you’re using, your picking dynamics and the nuances of your playing will be faithfully expressed without changing the unique sound of your guitar. PH–1 55 This produces a sharp phase effect with a wide range of change from ultraslow to high speed. 55 Painstaking low-noise design and natural phase sound make this unit a powerful asset in the studio or on stage.
Panel Descriptions OD–1 1 AC adaptor OVER DRIVE knob Adjusts the overdrive tone (soft distortion). Turning the knob toward the right emphasizes the overdrive, and turning the knob toward the left decreases it. 2 LEVEL knob 4 3 2 1 6 5 Compensates for the volume difference when switching between normal and effect sound. Turning the knob toward the right increases the level, and turning the knob toward the left decreases it.
Common 3 CHECK indicator This indicator shows whether the effect is on or off, and also doubles as the battery check indicator. The indicator lights when the effect is on. * If you’re powering the unit with a battery and the CHECK indicator goes dim— or doesn’t light at all—when you try to turn the effect on, the battery is near depletion and should be replaced. For instructions on changing the battery, refer to “Changing the Battery” (p. 6).
Precautions When Connecting * To prevent malfunction and equipment failure, always turn down the volume, and turn off all the units before making any connections. * Once the connections have been completed, turn on power to your various devices in the order specified. By turning on devices in the wrong order, you risk causing malfunction and/or damage to speakers and other devices. When powering up: Turn on the power to your guitar amp last. When powering down: Turn off the power to your guitar amp first.
