Power Source Connection
Option 1: Direct connection to vehicle battery
Note: Direct connection to vehicle battery consumes power. Always use the inline power/volume
knob to cut the battery power when the speakers are not used.
1. Using the supplied power cable harness, connect the black cable (labeled “GROUND” ) to the
vehicle’s metal frame or to the negative battery terminal and the red cable (labeled “+12V”) to
the positive battery terminal.
2. Connect the power cable harness to the connector of the power cable (labeled “POWER”) which
is attached to the amplier.
Option 2: Connection to ignition switch
When connecting the speakers to the vehicle’s ignition switch, the speakers can be automatically
powered on or off with the operation of the ignition switch.
1. Locate and identify two power wires in the ignition switch, one for switched +12V and the other
for negative/ground.
2. Using the supplied power cable harness, connect the black cable (labeled “GROUND”) to the
negative/ground wire of the accessory power and the red cable (labeled “+12V”) to the switched
+12V wire of the accessory power.
Insulate the cable connection with electrical tape.
3. Connect the power cable harness to the connector of the power cable (labeled “POWER”) which
is attached to the amplier.
