Basics of the controls
Your PERSONAL
®
music center II features a powerful combination
of selection buttons and a display screen, which lets you see and
choose from the wide variety of LIFESTYLE
®
system capabilities.
You can use the PERSONAL
®
music center to command system
performance from almost anywhere in your home, even outside,
without ever taking aim. Radio frequency signals from the
PERSONAL
®
music center reach the system from as far away as
80 feet (24.6 meters).
Getting to what you want
Using a few essential buttons allows you to get started, move
around on the display screen, and make selections from
the display.
Try them out to get a feel for what happens.
Turns on the LIFESTYLE
®
system media
center in the main room and the amplifier and
speakers or local system in the same room
with the PERSONAL
®
music center.
Also activates the last used source, which is
set to its previous volume and preset, if that
applies.
Turns off the current source, the PERSONAL
®
music center, and the amplifier and speakers
(or system) in the same room.
Move around on the display.
• To move up or down, tip the center bar up
or down.
• To move left or right, press the left or right
arrow button.
The display screen shows you which arrow to
use for a particular option.
Confirms a selection.
Pressing in on the center bar completes your
action and moves to the next screen or back
to the previous one.
Shows you all of the sources connected to
your system.
Pressing and holding this button turns the
display backlight off and on.
