Gateway address:
If you want the unit to establish a connection to a remote location in a different
subnet, enter the IP address of the gateway here. Otherwise leave the box blank
(0.0.0.0).
Video transmission:
If the unit is operated behind a firewall, TCP (HTTP port) should be selected as
the transfer protocol. For use in a local network, select UDP.
Caution
Multicast operation is only possible with the UDP protocol. The TCP pro-
tocol does not support multicast connections.
Note
The MTU value in UDP mode is 1514 bytes.
HTTP browser port:
Select a different HTTP browser port from the list if required. The default HTTP
port is 80.

The VIP X1600 module supports the SNMP (Simple Network Management Pro-
tocol) for managing and monitoring network components, and can send SNMP
messages to IP addresses. It supports SNMP MIB II and its traps in their full
functionality in the unified code. If you wish to send SNMP traps, enter the
IP addresses of one or two required target devices here.
