The TRUTEST801 introduces a measured amount of

smoke aerosol (SMOKE400, not supplied) into the

installed smoke detector’s smoke chamber. It operates

using a precision closed-loop system that measures

the smoke obscuration and feeds information back to

a controlling microprocessor. It then displays the

sensitivity reading in %/ft. on a liquid crystal display

(LCD) screen.

Installation/configuration notes

The TRUTEST801 requires either the SOLO100

Telescopic pole (1-3.38 m) or the SOLO101 Extension

pole (1 m). Neither is supplied.
