These requirements are explained in ANSI/NSF t84, Residential Dishwashers. Certified residential dishwashers are not intended for licensed food establishments. Your Bosch dishwasher is NSF Certified.
BOSCH DISHWASHER FEATURES DESCRIPTION NOTE: Not every Bosch dishwasher model has all of the following features. Check the Models Features Chart to find out which features your Bosch dishwasher has. AVS TM Noise Reduction System: A two-pump motor system, the Suspension Motor TM, triple insulation, and SoundSeaF _ (on some models) make Bosch Dishwashers the quietest in North America. SensotronicTM: Checks water condition and decides whether a second fresh water fill is necessary.
BOSCH DISHWASHER FEATURES DESCRIPTION LED Sequence Indicator: indicates the current point in the wash cycle, so you'll know if it's okay to add a last-minute dish. Nylon Racks: Eliminate cuts and nicks, and have a five-year warranty. OptiMISERTM: Available on some models, used with another program cycle to reduce wash time. "Refill Rinse Agent" Light: Lets you know that you need more rinse agent.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS 10. Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas may be produced in a hot water system that has not been used for two weeks or more. Hydrogen gas is explosive. If the hot water system has not been used for such a period, before using the dishwasher turn on all hot water faucets and let the water flow from each for several minutes. This will release any accumulated hydrogen gas. As the gas is flammable, do not smoke or use an open flame during this time. 11.
MATERIALS Important: Before you wash anything in the dishwasher, check the information in this section. Some materials are not dishwasher safe and should be handwashed; others require special loading. Contact the material's manufacturer if you are unsure about a material's dishwasher suitability. Usually Safe Aluminum: Colored anodized aluminum may fade over time. Minerals in your water may cause the aluminum to darken or spot. This can usually be removed by using a soap-filled steel wool pad.

Bone-Handled Utensils: Handles may separate. Iron: iron will rust. Hand-wash and dry immediately. Non-Dishware Items: Your Bosch dishwasher is intended for use in cleaning ONLY standard household dishware. Pewter, Brass, Bronze: Pewter will tarnish. Hand-wash and dry immediately. English 5. Drying Your Dishes Condensation Drying After your dishwasher has washed and rinsed your dishes, a period of condensation drying wilt follow. The combination of a high final rinse temperature, the tub's cool stainless steel interior, and the sheeting action of a rinse agent results in effective and efficient drying. Depending upon the model dishwasher you have, after about 12 minutes of drying the LED display witt show "O",or the "Clean" light wilt be illuminated.

Stainless Steel doors: Use a soft cloth with a non-abrasive cteaner (preferably a liquid spray) made for stainless steel. For the best resutts, apply the stainless steet cteaner to the ctoth, then wipe the surface.
