* If a rectangular-to-round transition adapter is used, first
make sure the damper hinge of the microwave swings
freely. If necessary, cut the damper to fit, using the tin
snips, in order to allow free movement.
Equivalent lengths of duct pieces are based on actual
tests and reflect requirements for good venting
performance with any vent hood.
Testing Operation
1. Turn on power at the breaker.
2. Test the microwave:
Place a cup of water into the oven cavity. Follow the
instructions in the Use and Care Manual on how to
heat a beverage.
NOTICE: Never run the microwave unless there is
food in the oven cavity.
3. Verify that the oven light comes on and the water is
heated.
4. If any of the tests do not result as explained above,
contact Service for assistance. Otherwise, the
installation is complete at this time.
