The EN1244 wireless smoke detector transmitter
provides smoke detection on the Inovonics
EchoStream wireless platform. The detector features
an onboard sounder, a smoke sensor, an LED
indicator, and local test capability allowing the user
total visibility of the detector's functionality.
System overview
Powered by Inovonics
The Inovonics EchoStream platform, powered by
Inovonics wireless mesh network technology, ensures
superior range, reliability, and scalability for
commercial applications. Using a wide range of
transmitters and repeaters, this proven technology
provides flexibility and performance to meet the most
stringent requirements. This exclusive protocol is
available only on Inovonics EchoStream products.
Wireless 900 MHz Band
The Inovonics EchoStream platform sends redundant
information on several multi-frequency channels within
the FCC Part 15 900 MHz band, providing superior
range and reliability. In comparison, systems that use a
single frequency technology can only send information
on one narrow band channel. Any interference within
the band can cause missed signals. With wireless
registration, it is easy to add this technology to any
application.
Functions
Supervision
Automatic supervising of the radio link and low battery
status helps ensure reliable operation.
Smoke Sensor monitoring
The self-diagnostics monitor the detector’s sensitivity
and operational status. If the detector drifts out of the
desired sensitivity range or fails internal diagnostics,
the green LED extinguishes, the red LED illuminates,
and it sends a maintenance signal to the receiver.
Removable Smoke Sensor Chamber
The removable chamber allows for on-site cleaning,
eliminating the need to send detectors to the factory
for cleaning.
Tamper detection
The tamper switch detects and notifies the system
when the detector is removed from its mounted
surface.
