10.3.1 Setup Button (before connection)

Setup is done while no connection is active for a DÉSA

Server.

Provides a summary of pertinent system information.

# Option Description

1 Modem Connection,

Reconnect Automatically

When checked, the DÉSA

automatically re-establishes the modem connection, in the event it is

lost. A designated number of connection retries cab be indicated.

2 Display Auxiliary Status

BAR

For a connected server, this shows/hides the Alarm and Auxiliary icons below the Camera icons .

3 Watermark Watermarked is displayed in the view of searched video on the Remote Client.

4 Remote Video Recording Live video storage designation: on the remote PC (for later search and review), or streamed from the

server.

A. Record live video

If checked, video displayed during a remote connection is also written to the local hard drive

storage specified by the Select Drive setting.

NOTE: This consumes disk space at a fairly rapid rate, and may fill up local hard disk storage

if left connected!

B. Save recorded video on search

If checked, searched video is automatically written to local storage (same as Record live video).

Video that is recorded live, or in response to a search, is available for review via Search when

the Remote Client is disconnected from all DÉSA

Servers.

C. Select Drive

Select Drive designates the storage location for recorded video. It is strongly recommended to choose

a drive other than the system drive of the Remote Client, to avoid filling up the system drive.
