The D8223 Prox Pro Reader provides Wiegand protocol
interface capability in a black, easily mounted,
weather‑resistant enclosure.
Functions
Easy Mounting
The D8223 Prox Pro Reader is designed to fit a
vertically‑mounted, US standard, single‑gang switch box for
easy installation. It is field‑adjustable through a selectable
jumper setting so that it can be mounted directly to metal
with minimal effect on its read range performance.
Beeper and LED Configurations can be Host and/or
Locally Controlled
When a proximity card is presented to the reader, the red
LED flashes green and the beeper sounds. Both the beeper
and LED configurations can be controlled individually by the
host system.
Indoor/outdoor Design
The rugged, weatherproof polycarbonate enclosure of the
D8223 provides resistance to weather extremes and
vandalism.

Connection Considerations
The acceptable wire length from the door controller to the
reader is up to 500 ft (152 m) when using 22 AWG (0.8 mm)
cable.
