5.12 RS-485 for extension modules
The RS-485 Extension Module Bus expands the AMC2 4W with
additional I/O modules (AMC2 8I-8O-EXT, AMC2 16I-16O-EXT,
or AMC2 16I-EXT) and/or with the reader interface extension
AMC2 4W-EXT.

Up to three expansion modules can be connected to provide
additional in- and outputs, for example, for elevator control.

their installation manuals.
