Operation Manual

Specification subject to change
What is especially recommended before using an
accu or a cordless power tool for the first time?
The operating instructions should be read carefully
since accu technology is subject to constant technical
changes which might require a different type of han-
dling.
How should nickel-cadmium accus be stored:
charged or uncharged?
It doesn’t matter, since they become discharged after a
while anyway.
Should nickel-cadmium accus always be dis-
charged completely or should they be charged in
every break at work?
If possible, discharge them completely before recharg-
ing them.
What is a total discharge?
A total discharge can happen for example: if the switch
of a power tool is locked in the on position by foreign
particles and power is drawn from the accu after it has
been completely discharged - or if the battery is left in
the charger for prolonged periods with the mains sup-
ply turned off.
Does total discharging harm the accu?
Yes.
Can charged accus deliver the same power in sub-
zero temperatures?
No. Accus require a minimum temperature for opera-
tion. This can be done by transporting them in a warm
place (pockets) to the work site.
