Intended Use
This product is intended for domestic use for the trim-
ming of hedges.
Introduction
This manual gives instructions on the correct assem-
bly and safe use of your hedgetrimmer. It is important
that you read these instructions carefully.
When fully assembled the hedgetrimmer weighs ap-
proximately 4.5 kg.
Take care when carrying the hedgetrimmer as the
blade is sharp.
Unit Components
Carefully remove the hedgetrimmer from its packaging
and check that you have all the following items:
Instruction manual
Battery, Battery charger
Remove the Battery and charge immediately (see
Battery Charging).
If any items are missing or damaged, please contact
the agent from which you purchased the hedgetrimmer.

WARNING! SWITCH OFF, REMOVE BATTERY
FROM PRODUCT BEFORE ADJUSTING OR
CLEANING.
THE BLADES CONTINUE TO MOVE FOR A FEW
FRACTIONS OF A SECONDS AFTER THE
HEDGECUTTER IS SWITCHED OFF.
CAUTION - DO NOT TOUCH ROTATING BLADE.
Fitting/Removing Battery
Fitting Battery
Slide charged battery 5 into the hedgetrimmer until
the battery locks into position as shown. A click is heard
when battery is correctly locked.
Before use, ensure that the battery is properly se-
cured in the hedgetrimmer.
Removing Battery
Depress the two latches 8 and remove the battery 5
from the hedgetrimmer as shown.
Starting and Stopping
Starting
Fit battery (see Fitting/Removing Battery).
Press and hold the switch 4 as shown.
Squeeze the switch lever 3 as shown.
Stopping
Release switch 4 and/or switch lever 3 as shown.
Remove battery 5 (see Fitting/Removing Battery).
If the blade becomes jammed during use release the
switch handles immediately.
