When kerosene or fuel oil is poured onto the stump and the stump is ignited, it can burn down to the roots.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE Drill 1-inch holes straight down from top of stump to depth of about 10 inches. Then into the side of the stump, about 4 to 5 inches down from the top, drill a 1-inch wide hole slanting downward toward the bottom of each vertical hole. The two hole ends should meet. It is important to drill the side holes slanting downward so the liquid to be poured into the holes won’t run out. Also when the drill holes meet, a natural ventilation is created to destroy the stump when ignited.
6B) To remove stump without any burning, use a hatchet or axe to chop out the now porous cellulose layers of the stump. For smaller stump disposal (12-18 inches wide), drill 2 sets of holes in each stump, proceed as directed. For larger diameter stumps, 18 inches or wider, drill a minimum of 4 sets of holes. Proceed as directed. For more efficient stump disposal, drill additional sets of holes in each stump. Proceed as directed.
