TRAK LPM Programming, Safety, & Operating Manual
clamped to unclamp state. This means if you have a connective move from let’s say the
X axis to the A axis, you are going to want to program an Aux 7 prior to the X axis event
so the unit will not clamp and hence delay slightly before moving into the A axis move.
The auto-clamping feature is useful when you are simply indexing the 4
th
axis from one
A position to another. We also recommend you program an Aux 7 when you are going to
be doing engraving or contouring type work so the 4
th
axis will not clamp. When running
a G code program, you will need to use M codes M11 and M12 to control the clamping
and unclamping function. See section 14.11.1 & 14.11.2 for a list of supported G and M
codes.
15.4.5 LOOK
Program LOOK when using the 4
th
axis has 1 new feature that is call ROTATE ON or
OFF. This feature when selected to ON allows the graphics to rotate the part about the A
axis when viewing the program from LIST STEP. The feature or surface in question will
be highlighted in purple and be rotated so it will be shown as being perpendicular to
where the cutting tool would make contact with the part. This feature makes it easier to
see the details of your part when you have programmed multiple A axis surfaces.
Pressing the ROTATE ON/OFF button toggles this feature between ON and OFF. For
example, when this button reads ROTATE OFF on the screen, it means the graphics will
ROTATE each time you press the LIST STEP button. Pressing this button again will
turn off the ROTATE feature and the button will read ROTATE ON.
