TRAK LPM Programming, Safety, & Operating Manual
Creating a Master Program
After pressing the CREATE MASTER softkey, you will be prompted to select up to 4
files that you wish to work with. Use the arrow keys to move the highlight around, and
then press the SELECT button to add the file. In the lower display window, you will see
the list of files that are to be combined, as shown above. Once you have selected all the
files you wish to work with, press the COMPLETE softkey, and you will automatically
be taken to the Tool Recon page. See Section 11.5 for more on Tool Recon.
When it is time to save your Master program, remember to save it as a PTM file.
14.3.2 Preview Graphics
As an aid to finding the file you want to open, the ProtoTRAK PMX allows you to look
at the part graphics before opening. Simply select the file and press the LOOK hardkey.
The screen will show the part graphics. Press LOOK again or RETURN to revert back to
the Program In/Out screen.
The graphics displayed in this process are not exact, but are a handy representation of the
program.
Note: DXF, GCD, and PTG files may not be previewed with the LOOK feature.
When previewing a Master program, you will see a NEXT button so that you may cycle
through part graphics of each program saved within the master.
