Using the Multi (Stroboscopic) Mode
The multi (stroboscopic) mode res the ash multiple times in quick succession during a single exposure.
Stroboscopic lighting is often used to illustrate motion—when shooting in a dark environment, this can create
a unique effect in which moving objects appear multiple times in the frame. It is also useful when capturing
extremely fast objects, because the ash can pulsate faster than the camera lens can open and close.
To enable the multi mode, turn on the ash and camera and follow these steps:
1. Press the MODE button repeatedly to cycle through the ash
modes until the multi mode and ash output level indicators
appear on the LCD. Use the left and right navigation buttons
to set the ash output.
2. Set the number of ashes by pressing the SUB button so
the stroboscopic count number blinks. Use the left and
right navigation buttons to adjust the number of ashes, or
the up and down navigation buttons for the minimum and
