Using the Multi (Stroboscopic) Mode
The multi (stroboscopic) mode res the ash multiple times in quick succession during a single exposure.
Stroboscopic lighting is often used to illustrate motion—when shooting in a dark environment, this can create
a unique effect in which moving objects appear multiple times in the frame. It is also useful when capturing
extremely fast objects, because the ash can pulsate faster than the camera lens can open and close.
To enable the multi mode, turn on the ash and camera and follow these steps:
1. Press the MODE button repeatedly to cycle through the ash
modes until the multi mode and ash output level indicators
appear on the LCD. Use the left and right navigation buttons
to set the ash output.
2. Set the number of ashes by pressing the SUB button so
the stroboscopic count number blinks. Use the left and
right navigation buttons to adjust the number of ashes, or
the up and down navigation buttons for the minimum and
