 Bouncing Your Flash
Creating catchlights: Catchlights are the reections that appear in people’s eyes in photographs. Without
catchlights, eyes can have a dull, lifeless look. To create catchlights in your subjects’ eyes when bouncing your
ash, follow these steps:
1. Pull the built-in reector and diffuser panels all the way out of their slot in the ash head. Push the
diffuser back in while leaving the reector extended.
2. Position the ash head at the 90° angle (pointing straight up) to bounce your ash off the ceiling or an
overhead reector.
