Using Flash Exposure Compensation
Flash exposure compensation lets you adjust and optimize your ash’s automated setting by increasing or
decreasing its light output without affecting the exposure as a whole.
In automatic TTL mode, you can use ash exposure compensation to adjust the VX-710C’s ash output
incrementally, just as you would adjust exposure with the exposure compensation function on your camera.
To apply ash exposure compensation, use the left and right navigation buttons to adjust by full stops, and
the up and down navigation buttons to ne-tune in increments of one-third. The ash exposure compensation
indicator will appear on the LCD.
Note: When decreasing ash exposure compensation in
increments of one-third from a whole stop, you will need to
decrease it by one whole stop, and then increase by two-thirds.
For example, when ne-tuning from +2 to +1, you will need to
adjust the value to +1, and then ne-tune to +1. When working
with negative numbers, e.g., when ne-tuning from -1 to -1, you
will need to adjust the value to -2, and then ne-tune to -1.
