NEAR Armadillo Speakers
Form follows function in the A-Series,
a.k.a., the “armadillo” line. Its unique
rounded ends and side corrugations,
which give the speakers their characteristic
“armadillo” shell look, are constructed of
mineral-filled polypropylene. This dense
molded material creates an extremely
durable cabinet with excellent acoustic
properties. Cabinet and components
are impervious to salt spray and dust.
Tough, Through and Through
The A-Series is made of premium material
components: die cast aluminum frames,
hard anodized aluminum cones, black
anodized aluminum voice coil formers,
compound rubber cone surrounds, high-
temperature adhesives, UV-inhibited
mineral-filled polypropylene enclosure,
powder-coated aluminum, perforated PVC
plastic grilles, threaded brass inserts, and
gold-plated connectors. These are the most
durable materials used in any speaker in
the industry!
