Determine Latch Specifi cations for Clearance:
a. The Standard Post Latch requires a latch clearance
of 1"-3" and works with a post size of 4"+ and
upright size of 3"+ (Fig. 1).
Determine Latch Location:
NOTE: Latch should be on the same side as the hinges.
a. With gate closed, align latch on post at desired
height and center striker on gate (Fig. 2).
b. Mark screw location on post and gate (Fig. 3).
Mount Latch on Post:
a. Drill 7/32" pilot holes on the post for latch location
(Fig. 4).
b. Install latch to post with provided screws and
tighten (Fig. 5).
Mount Striker on Gate:
a. Drill 7/32" pilot holes on the gate for striker
location (Fig. 6).
b. Install striker to gate with provided screws
and tighten (Fig. 7).
