ENGINE ACCESSORY DRIVE BELT

Belt Tension

Open the tailgate.

Figure PM-48

Check the belt tension (Item 1) [Figure PM-48] midway

between the alternator and belt tensioner. The belt

deflection should be 13 mm.

Belt Adjustment

Loosen the belt tensioner bolt (Item 1) [Figure PM-49]

and move the tensioner away from the engine until the

belt tension is correct.

Tighten the bolt to 20-25 N•m torque.
