HYDRAULIC SYSTEM (CONT’D)

Replacing The Hydraulic Filter

See the SERVICE SCHEDULE for the correct service

interval. (See SERVICE SCHEDULE on Page 59.)

Open the right side cover.

Remove the hydraulic filter (Item 1) [Figure PM-38].

Clean the housing where the filter gasket makes contact.

Put clean hydraulic fluid on the gasket. Install the new

filter and tighten by hand only.

WARNING

Always clean up spilled fuel or oil. Keep heat, flames,

sparks or lighted tobacco away from fuel and oil.

Failure to use care around combustibles can cause

explosion or fire which can result in injury or death.

Replacing The Case Drain Filter

Open the tailgate.

Remove the filter (Item 2) [Figure PM-38].

Clean the housing where the filter gasket makes contact.

Put clean hydraulic fluid on the gasket. Install the new

filter and tighten by hand only.

Diagnostic Connectors

Open the right side cover and tailgate.

Diagnostic connectors (Item 1) [Figure PM-39] are

located on the hydraulic circuitry.

The connectors can be used to check circuit pressures.
