THERMOSTAT
Removal And Installation
Remove the bolts from the thermostat housing [A].
Installation: Tighten the bolts to 10–17 ft.–lbs. (14–23
Nm) torque.
Remove the thermostat.
Checking The Thermostat
Check the thermostat opening temperature [B].
Standard – 176–183°F (80–84°C)
Check the thermostat valve lift.
Standard – Approximately 0.3 inch (7,6 mm) @ 203°F
(95°C)
If the thermostat housing assembly is removed, tighten
the bolts to 10–17 ft.–lbs. (14–34 Nm) torque [C].
