Turn adjusting screw 1
clockwise to increase the span
between the brake lever and
the handlebar grip.
Turn adjusting screw 1
counter-clockwise to reduce
the span between the brake
lever and the handlebar grip.
The adjusting screw is
easier to turn if you push
the handbrake lever forward.
Footrest system
with K 1300 S special model

Adjusting footrests
Make sure the ground is level
and firm and place the motor-
cycle on its stand.
Remove screws 1.
Remove the footrest and move
it to the desired position. If ne-
cessary, turn the footrest 180 °
to locate it in the desired posi-
tion.
Highest position: Arrow 2 is
pointing to the number 6.
Lowest position: Arrow 2 is
pointing to the number 1.
Install screws 1 and tighten to
the specified tightening torque.

Be sure to locate the left and
right footrests in the same pos-
ition.
Adjusting shift lever
Make sure the ground is level
and firm and place the motor-
cycle on its stand.
