Headlight beam throw and
spring preload
Headlight beam throw is kept
constant when spring preload is
adjusted to suit load.
If there are doubts about
the correct headlight range,
seek the advice of a specialist
workshop, preferably an author-
ised BMW Motorrad dealer.
Seat
Remove the seat
Make sure the ground is level
and firm and place the motor-
cycle on its stand.
Turn the key to the left in seat
lock 1 while supporting the
seat at the back and pushing
it down.
Lift the seat at the rear and
release the key.
Remove the seat and place it,
upholstered side down, on a
clean surface.
