Install screws 2 on left and
right and tighten until hand-
tight.
Install screws 1 on left and
right and tighten until hand-
tight.
Adjusting spring-strut
length
Make sure the ground is level
and firm and place the motor-
cycle on its stand.
Remove the rear wheel

Slacken screws 1 of the spray
guard.
Slacken nut 2 by turning it in
direction b.
Turn nut 3 in direction b.
Increase spring-strut length.
Turn nut 3 in direction a.
Reduce spring-strut length.
Adjust the spring strut to the
desired length.
To restore the factory setting:
turn nut 3 as far as it will go in
direction a.
