Checking battery-acid
level
Check the acid level regularly
at intervals of approximately
three months.
Removing battery ( 92).
Check the acid level at mark 1.
Specified level, battery
acid
Between MIN and MAX
marks
If the acid level is below the MIN
mark:
Top up the battery acid with
distilled water to the specified
level.
Body panels
Removing centre trim
panel
Make sure the ground is level
and firm and place the motor-
cycle on its stand.
Remove the seat ( 38).
Remove screws 1 on left and
right.
Remove oil dipstick 2 and re-
move the centre trim panel.
Install the oil dipstick.
