TM
, the lter tank, or any
of the internal components of the lter tank where a clarier or other chemical additives that bond
to particulate matter have been used in the pool.
1. Disconnect the lter-pump assembly from the pool.
2. Drain the tank and the hoses.
3. The lter system must be thoroughly dried before winter storage to prevent freezing and cracking
of the tank or pump components.
4. Store in a dry location protected from frost.
Malfunctions Causes Solutions
Water pressure is low or
cotton tails look dirty.
The cotton tails have absorbed too much
dirt and debris from the water.
Clean the Cottontail
TM
lter media.
Water ow is too low. Pump gets too little water. Check the suction line and the water level in the pool.
Air is in the pump.
Poor seal on the intake tttings of the
pump.
Tighten the hose clamps and the connection ttings. If
necessary, use Teon tape. Open the air vent plug.
Leaking pump. Seal is worn out or damaged. Replace the pump.
Pump does not run on
initial start-up
• Poor power cord connection.
• Motor shaft is stuck.
Check the socket and power cord. Place a athead
screwdriver into the slot at the rear of the motor shaft and
gently turn to free.
Pump stops running or
will not restart
• G.F.C.I. or main circuit breaker tripped.
• Debris is blocking the impeller.
• Pump motor is defective.
• Switch on the circuit breaker (if it immediately trips again,
there is a defect in the pump or the controls). Fix or replace
the pump. Clean the pump body.
• Replace the notor or the entire pump.
