Display Devices & Options
Besides the built-in LCD you can also use external monitors/flat panel displays/TVs
connected to the HDMI-Out port (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) and/or ex-
ternal monitor port as your display device.
Intel Display Mode Description
Single Display
One of the connected displays is used as the display
device
Clone Displays
Connected displays output the same view and may be
configured independently
Extended Desktop
Connected displays are treated as separate devices, and
act as a virtual desktop
Collage
A number of connected displays are combined into a
single unified higher resolution for larger screen sizes
Default Display Mode
The initial default dis-
play mode when first at-
taching an external
display is set to Extend-
ed Desktop Mode.
You can use the Intel(R)
HD Graphics control
panel to adjust this set-
ting.
Subsequent to any re-
start/shutdown or re-
moval of display device,
the system will retain the
last mode set before the
restart/shutdown or re-
moval of display device.

Display Modes
Attaching Displays
When you first attach an external display you may find that the desktop does not occupy
the full screen area. Use either the display’s auto adjust/configure controls, or the Intel(R)
HD Graphics control panel to configure the full screen display.
