Tighten all bolt connections by hand first, then when the grill is fully assembled, go back and tighten.

Step 3 Attach side handles (4) and square heat resistant washers (14) to grill bottom (2) using medium bolts (B), medium flat washers (K), medium lock washers (I), and medium wing nuts (F), as shown.

Pile 2-3 pounds of charcoal in the center of the charcoal grid, and shape into a pyramid. (See figure 1.) Figure 1: Pile 2-3 pounds of charcoal in the center of the charcoal grid to light. 3. If you are using regular charcoal and intend to use lighter fluid, apply fluid according to the instructions on the container.
