Making a selection displays and all of the pertinent parameters for the specific test.
7.1.8 Pending Codes
Designated OBD Mode $07, this selection opens a record of any pending codes that set during the
last completed drive cycle. Pending codes are those whose symptoms must occur during more
than one consecutive drive cycle before an actual DTC is set. The code list appears similar to the
standard DTC list.

7.1.9 Request Control of On-board System
Designated OBD Mode $08, this selection enables bidirectional control of the ECM. In this mode
the scan tool transmits control commands to operate the vehicle system. This function is useful in
determining how well the ECM responds to a command.
7.1.10 Vehicle Information
Designated OBD Mode $09, this selection opens a sub-menu that includes:
Read vehicle identification
In-use performance tracking
Read vehicle identification displays the vehicle identification number (VIN), the calibration
identification, and the calibration verification number (CVN) of the test vehicle.
