Freeze frame data includes a “snapshot” of critical parameter values at the time the DTC set.
7.1.4 Confirmed Codes
Designated OBD Mode $03, this selection displays any stored emission related DTCs reported by
the various ECMs.

Sample confirmed codes list
The B0XXX, C0XXX, P0XXX, and U0XXX codes are Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)
controlled and they display along with a description. These codes are the same for all
manufactures.
The B1XXX, B2XXX, C1XXX, C2XXX, P1XXX, P3XXX, U1XXX, and U2XXX codes are
manufacturer controlled, refer to manufacturer data for information.
7.1.5 Clear Codes
Designated OBD Mode $04, this selection is used to erase all emission related diagnostic data
such as, DTCs, freeze frame data, and test results from the memory of the selected ECM. A
confirmation message displays when Clear Codes is selected, press Y to continue and follow the
on screen instructions.
