Navigation Menu Screens
A brief description of each test is presented here, more detailed descriptions can be found in the
Operations Chapter of this manual.
• Current Data—displays “live” data parameter values transmitted by the vehicle ECM.
• Extended Data (Optional)—displays additional data values not included on the standard list.
• Freeze Frame Data—displays certain data values that were captured when a DTC set.
• Confirmed Codes—displays any emissions related DTCs stored in ECM memory.
• Clear Codes—erases DTC and freeze frame records from ECM memory.
• O2 Monitors—displays the status of the oxygen (O2) sensor monitors.
• Non-Cont. Monitors—displays the status of the non-continuous monitors.
5.3.3 Exit Menu
The exit menu opens as a “pop-up” when the N button is pressed from most screens and offers a
series of functions to choose from. The pop-up presents graphic representations for three
functions and the center option is the one that is activated if the Y button is pressed.

Protocol Information
Shows the current communication
protocol, the number of emissions
related DTCs, and the serial number of
your
MICROSCAN unit.
Exit
Returns to the previous screen, this is
the default selection for the exit menu.
Settings
Opens a menu for configuring the
MICROSCAN display, this is the
same as the Settings selection from the
main menu.
Screen Capture
Saves a copy of the last screen viewed
before the N button was pressed.
Save Movie
Saves a copy of the data recorded in
the data buffer.
Lock/Unlock
Locks or unlocks the parameter
highlighted on the previous screen to
either prevent or allow it to scroll.
Text/Graph
Switches the data list between a text
view and a graph view.
Min/Max
Recalibrates the minimum and
maximum data values displayed on a
data graph.
