A sub-title, which can read Confirmed Codes, Pending Codes, or Permanent Codes, appears at
the top of the report. The sub-title changes as you scroll through the list if there are more than one
type of code in memory. Codes are listed in ascending order with a truncated description on the
line immediately below the DTC. Press Y and a window showing the complete description of the
highlighted DTC opens.

IMPORTANT:
Certain “Enhanced Codes”, which are specific to a particular manufacturer, do not display in the
standard code list that automatically opens when connected to a vehicle. Select Enhanced Codes
from the main menu to view these manufacturer specific DTCs.
5.3 Menu Screens
Menu screens present a list of options from which you can select. Selecting a menu option can
open a test, perform a function, or open a sub-menu of additional choices. A typical “main menu”
is shown below.
