15.On the passenger side, using the baseplate as
a template, drill the two holes with the 17/32”
drill bit.

16. On the driver’s side, use a 10MM socket to
remove the two bolts from the brace.
BE SURE TO USE LOCTITE
®
RED ON ALL BOLTS
BEFORE TIGHTENING. TIGHTEN ALL BOLTS
ACCORDING TO THE TORQUE CHART ON THE
FRONT PAGE OF THESE INSTRUCTIONS OR ON
PAGE 3 OF THE BASEPLATE TOWING GENERAL
INSTRUCTIONS.




17. Continuing on the driver’s side, drill the
two holes with the 17/32” drill bit using the
baseplate as a template.



18. Install 1 1/4” bolts with 1/2” lock washers into
the drilled holes, tighten with 1/2” nut plates
inserted into the hole on the side (gray arrow).
Be sure to use Loctite Red on all bolts. Do
this on both sides, driver’s side shown.



