BE SURE TO USE LOCTITE

RED ON ALL BOLTS
BEFORE TIGHTENING. TIGHTEN ALL BOLTS
ACCORDING TO THE TORQUE CHART ON THE
FRONT PAGE OF THESE INSTRUCTIONS OR ON
PAGE 3 OF THE BASEPLATE TOWING GENERAL
INSTRUCTIONS.
11. Slide the top of the baseplate in rst, be sure
the baseplate is level. Start a 1/2-13 x 1 1/4”
hex bolt in the existing hole attach to 1/2” at
and lock washers with 1/2-13 hex nylon insert
lock nut inside frame end. Apply Loctite Red
on all bolts. Using a 13/32” drill bit and the
baseplate as a template, drill the remaining
holes. Do this on both sides.

9. Tip the temperature sensor back at an angle
toward the radiator.

10. Using a 17/32” drill bit, ream out the existing
hole indicated. Do this on both sides.

Using a good quality paint, spray cut edges
of frame to prevent rusting.
8. On the driver’s side, using a reciprocating saw
make a little notch 6 1/2” down from the top of
the frame end and straight across in the frame
webbing. Do this on both sides.

When using power drills be aware of the
dangers of torque and drill bit length.
