1. Blue Ox

who are familiar with our products and have

the equipment necessary and knowledge

to do “t work”. When necessary Blue Ox

2. Many Blue Ox

baseplates are designed to

use existing holes and hardware to mount

the baseplate to the towed vehicle. Even

though bolts are there, do not assume they

are adequate for baseplate mounting. Always

use hardware supplied in the hardware kit and

existing hardware specied in the Baseplate

Installation Instructions.

Conrm the towability and pre-towing

procedures for your vehicle with the

owner’s manual or contact the vehicle’s

manufacturer for specic towing

procedures.

BX2251 2008-10 Honda Odyssey 2009-12 Honda Pilot EXL Installation Instructions Removable Tabs: Motorhome mount tow bars are recommended for use with this baseplate. Due to the design of the removable tabs, the RangeFinderII, Adventurer, and Ambassador tow bars can not be used. The Acclaim tow bar may be used, but will not fold and store on the front of the vehicle. Adapters, except the BX8833 and BX88151, can not be used with this baseplate.

Set bolt aside to be reinstalled later.     4B  4A 4C 4D 4. Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the two Phillips screws from the corner of the fascia just forward of the front tire, inside the wheel well cover. Do this to both sides of the vehicle (4A and 4B).

Pull the fascia forward to remove. Set the pushpins and fascia aside carefully to be reinstalled later. 2012 HONDA PILOT: Remove eleven pushpins from the lower edge of the fascia and the belly pan. Pull the fascia forward to remove. Set the pushpins and fascia aside carefully to be reinstalled later. 7.

Do this to both sides of the vehicle. Unplug and set the headlight assembly and metric bolts aside to be reinstalled later. 13. Using a 10MM socket, remove the two bolts on the bottom of the radiator holding the radiator coolant line. The coolant line will be relocated.   14 15 14.

Set aside to be reinstalled later. 18. Using the 10MM socket, remove one bolt from the side of the washer reservoir. Set the bolt aside to be reinstalled later.   19 20 19. Using the 10MM socket, remove one bolt from the bottom of the washer reservoir.

Be sure to use a backing plate (gray arrow) to prevent cutting the radiator. The passenger side has a ridge, be sure to cut on both sides of it (22B).  23A    When using power drills be aware of the dangers of torque and drill bit length. 23B 23. On the driver side, bend the cut area down (23A).

Using a 10MM socket, reinstall the three bolts on the side, back and top. 27. Reinstall the headlight assembly. Using a 10MM socket, reinstall the four bolts on the top, side and front. Also reinstall the pushpin on the top.      28 29 28.
