Filters can accomplish two goals:

Removal of fluid contaminants Fluid contaminants can include bacteria, metals, or chemicals

in your water that may affect the water's taste and smell or its safety for human consumption.

Collection of suspended solids Solid contaminants can include dirt, rust, or minerals in the

water, which may give the water a "cloudy" appearance or leave deposits on fixtures, surfaces,

and appliances.

Sediment Filtration - Takes out dirt, dust and silt.

How it works: Water that appears cloudy or turbid is caused by particulates (such as rust, sand,

or clay) found in the water. Sediment filters remove these particulates from water by trapping

them.

Activated Carbon Filtration - Pre Carbon: Ensures that 99% of all chlorine, lead & microbial

cysts have been removed.

Ultraviolet Disinfection UV - Assures 99.9% of bacteria and viruses are eliminated including

cryptospodium, Hepatitus-A, Polio, Streptococcus, Adevnovirus, E.Coli, Rotavirus & Giardia.

How it works: Ultraviolet light is one of natures’ powerful disinfectants. Used at the right

wavelength and intensity, UV light can destroy microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses. The

water flows around a clear UV bulb, and the light destroys the genetic material of the pathogens,

thus preventing it from reproducing. The efficiency of any UV system is affected by the clarity

of the incoming water supply, so you may need to treat your water to remove solid particles

through filtration prior to treatment via the UV system. Dirt, metals, and chemicals cannot be

reduced through a UV system.

Reverse Osmosis (RO) - Crystal Clear Water, free from virtually all impurities including, salt,

iron, fluoride, lead, bacteria, pharmaceuticals & radio-active materials. Eliminates Scale & and

other contaminants that are present.

How it works: RO uses pressure to force water with a high concentration of a contaminant

through a semi-permeable membrane. The water can pass back through the membrane, but the

contaminant cannot, thus removing the contaminant from the water.

Post Carbon: Ensures that 99% of all chlorine, lead & microbial cysts have been removed &

Assures consistent pure taste and no odor.

How it works: Positively charged and highly absorbent carbon in the filter attracts and traps many impurities. There are two filter types offering different filtering capabilities:   • Granular activated carbon filters are generally inexpensive and effective at filtering aesthetic contaminants, those that affect taste or smell, and VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
